What is happening here? Some time after I get to work (at around 7) i feel Kiernan Kick and I look at the clock. From that point on I count kicks or rolls or big movements in general until we hit 10. Once we hit 10 I write down the time again.

Why is this happening? All babies move about. Kiernan moves about nearly constantly(The sonographer at my Dr.'s office said he is one of the most hyper babies she has ever seen lol). The chart is a self reassuring/diagnostic tool. According to babykickalliance.org keeping a kick count chart is a good way to determine fetal distress and to hopefully prevent fetal demise.

On the sheet I got it says that "Most healthy babies move at least 10 times in four hours." and then on the next line "If your baby kicks less than 10 times in four hours, call your midwife or doctor right away". This feels alarming but so far so good.

I am getting a good feel for when he is awake and when he is asleep which feels like getting to know him a bit. . . so that is fun. I wonder if the timing will carry over once he is born?
