Cousins and illness

We had more Christmas fun with family this week. Also My lovely sister and her family came up from TN.

Katie is now as tall as if not taller than Grandma Mary. As you can see we take these measurements seriously.

Cousin Shawn and Kiernan are still a great match. Shawn asked Kiernan if he liked Angry Birds Star Wars ...

Kiernan lives and breaths Angry Birds Star Wars. He was so proud to know a thing that his big cousin was into.

After that predictable bit of shyness that babies engender, Megan was thrilled to have a Katie to play with.

Here is a picture of the kids being arch-typically themselves. Shawn is being accommodating , Kiernan is being serious, Megan is demanding her balloon be retrieved from the ceiling and Katie is being charming.

Sadly the day after our fun visits both kids got sick. Megan is cutting 3 teeth from what I can tell plus she had an earache and a stuffy nose (also as you can see she fell on her nose at the playground). Kiernan had a really bad flu. He couldn't keep anything down and I was getting really worried about him. Today they are both fussy and clingy but without fevers and with actual eating going on.

Last but not least: I got the kids long balloons for stocking stuffers and i have progressed from swords to poodles.
