This weekend had great weather and we started it off right by taking a bike ride to that long jump pit that serves as our sand box.
On Friday we went over to the National Capitol Trolley Museum
It was a good museum but we got tagged onto a school group and most of the presentation was way over the kids heads. Kiernan got a while alone with the conductor before we joined the school group and he was very happy to control the model train.
Unfortunately Megan was in a shriek and run mood.
This is her escaping from the tour and Kiernan helpfully running after her.
We got to ride on a real Trolley.
Saturday we skipped church and went downtown for a breakfast picnic and some cherry blossoms.
Then we zoomed home for Kiernan's swimming lessons and Megan's nap. The rest of the day seemed fun and jam packed with trips to the park and lots of outside play.
Kiernan's desire to lay down on the poach swing and cover up with a blanket should have been a red flag but I thought he was just tired out.
He spent the rest of the evening throwing up. :(
The next morning he seemed fine but we eliminated most of our activities for the day. Instead we went to Papa and grandma Mary's and played in the sand. We talked landscaping and gardening. We ate Ledo's pizza.
Then we stopped off for some hydration.
