Happy Anniversary and a week of flowers

On Friday we went to Brookside gardens and the nature center.
It was beautiful.

The kids ran everywhere and exhausted themselves.

I brought home one of my clean room suits for the kids to see. Kiernan decided that he is an astronaut.

We went to the park for tree climbing with 'Little Bunny'.

Sunday was our wedding anniversary (11). Here we are having just graduated from high school.

For our anniversary trip we went to Ocean City.
I was quite hoping to have a sleep-in but the routine of early kid mornings kicked in so I got to watch the sunrise while David slept in to the ripe old time of 730.
My how I miss my natural sleep cycle.

I was messing around with my phones camera and figured out how to do a long panoramic shot. Plus I saw a pod of dolphins! I realized as I was sitting on the beach that I hadn't been alone, except for driving to work, in a very very long time. It felt quite odd. I had a moment of relaxation direly followed by a moment of panic.
My dad always used to tell us "Better paranoid than dead girls" and it really stuck. I can't actually be on my own without envisioning all the horrible things we were warned about happening. When I was a kid it meant less than nothing to me. I used to leave the door unlocked when  got home from school. When my dad got home he would open the unlocked door and shout Bang Bang you are dead.
I just shrugged it off in a sort of "Oh Daaad" way. But it stuck.
Now a days I always see boogie men behind every door. I always check my back seats before getting into my car and I can't be alone.
So there on the beach being alone and especially having a moment of relaxation with it was quite weird.

After David got up we had until 12-2pm before we had to head back home so we filled the day up.
We went for a long walk on the beach and got into the surprisingly not cold water a few times. We got Fractured Prune beach doughnuts, we began our traditional anniversary mini golf tournament and we went go-karting.
It was a blast.
I really enjoy spending time with my husband. He is just fun.
If you have a mini-golf tournament by the way, make sure to start it in an Aztec temple covered with dragons and dinosaurs.
