Party Party

There was cake (Tres Leches) with Red flowers and strawberries. There was Vaderade there was Yoda Soda. There was Palpatine Pizza and Droid Dip and  there were Chewbacca Chisps.

There were Star Wars masks and Nerf Guns and Telepods.

There was an awesome Star Cruiser to assemble ... and crash and assemble and crash and assemble and crash ...

There was a Nerf gun battle to end all Nerf gun battles.

Megan got some dolls that used to belong to her Aunt Pammy.

Kiernan got some new Star Wars Angry Birds PJ's. This was particularly good because his old pair don't fit at all and he would not relinquish them.

5 years old.

5 years is so old. 5 years is about to enter the world of school and reading and martial arts and little league. 5 years old is old enough that he may remember things from this time for the rest of his life.
I hope he will remember them fondly.

On Sunday we picked out three favorite paint chips and ran off to the store while Megan was asleep (thank you Aunt Judy!) to pick up sample paint pots.We have talked about what color we would paint our walls ever since we got our first apartment more than ten years ago. This is the first time we have actually put brush to paint in earnest though. Painting Mom's area didn't really count as it was her choice and her paint and her space.

Megan likes this color best (at least for a minute or two). We will give these a week, to check them out in all lights, and next week we will start the real painting.

Lord Vader prefers the Dark Side.
