The Project

We redid Kathryn's old room at her parents house.
It had become a bit of a storage room as kids rooms do.
We used most of our weekends from Thanksgiving until the weekend before Kathryn and Erena arrived on January 28th.

There was a great deal of hauling out furniture and cleaning off walls.
When we were just out of high school Kathryn and I redid this room. It was very fancy and a little goth.
There was lots of black and grey and a little gold here and there.

Carolyn put these up for a taxonomy study guide near;y 15 years ago!

Like every room at Scearce there are more books to deal with than anything else.

I got to take Kiernan to the dump in the truck which thrilled us both.

After everything was out it was time for wall correction.
We thought about staining the ceiling beams too but ran out of time.

Then it was scrub down the walls and sweep and mop the floors.
David did some patching and painting to bring more light into the room.

We did a major IKEA run and several small runs.

By the time Kathryn and Erena arrived we had a clean, bright and comfy space for them to call their own.
