ick we are all sick

The week started with greenery and promise. Just look at those plants!

See my happy healthy kids swing.

Tuesday night at nearly midnight Megan woke up crying. It was 24 hours before she stopped throwing up. It was every 15 minutes to every 2 hours depending on sleep.

There were a lot of baths and a lot of changes of clothes. The good thing was that she kept drinking the whole time so at least it wasn't empty stomach and dehydration on top of the stomach bug.

She started to head back to normal on Thursday.

Friday morning Kiernan and I started feeling pretty bad. He started throwing up at 10 and I made it all the way until 4.

David got home from work and clearly already had it.
There will be no pictures for the next 24 hour period.
It sucked. Everyone was sick. The grown ups were too sick to take care of each other after mom came down with it too. There was no one well enough to take care of the kids very well.
It was a nightmare. When we could stand we let the dog out. When we could bear the smell of food we fed the kids.
There were a lot of Disney videos and Popsicles.
By the end of it we were wobby and drained and all had blazing headaches.

Megan was nearly back to normal by Saturday mid morning. She wanted costumes and toast.
Mom and I took Meg's and Pax for a very short hike on Sugarloaf. It was exhausting for the grown ups and poor mom had to shut herself up in her room as soon as we got back but the fresh air was helpful.

Kiernan was back up by Saturday evening.

On Sunday morning I took the kids out of the house to give mom and David a little quiet.
We went to noodle company. As you can see they are pretty pale and scrawny but they both wanted to be there.

Friday night had been TRES reading night at our local Minor League baseball stadium.
He didn't even notice it go by. By Sunday he noticed that he had missed his free baseball game and his own Little League Opening day ceremony. He was determined to get his baseball on.
Here he is in line.

Megan was raring to go.

We made it about 3 innings and they both had a really good time but needed sleep by the time we got home.

So far so good.

In other news Happy 5th Birthday Erena!
