Rain Rain Go Away

This week the rain let up for only the briefest of intervals. During one such break Kiernan's Cub Scout Den planted a butterfly bush. Needless to say it did not need watering.

I got my first article published in a few local papers. More of those to come. I am currently doing a collaborative piece on the joint pack camp out.

It rained and rained. We had a big storm sit over us for a few days and then the edges of hurricane Joaquin.

My work flooded like crazy. It smelled like damp and floor glue and something acrid.

We spent time indoors reading and gaming and hanging out.

On Friday I took Megs to Scearce's where she demanded the Grandpa gobble her.

I love those two!
Kiernan was very unhappy that we went without him so on Sunday we headed back down to Silver Spring.

The house was cold and everything outside was wet. So we helped take the air conditioners out of the windows and brought some firewood up to the house.
Be warned all you local readers. I am about to ask you to go to Scearce's with me to chop wood.
Prepare your muscles!

Winter is coming.
