lots of hair and some music and a date

It was a cold and sickly week. Everyone but Kiernan had a sinus headache at some point.
I made David and mom a Dark and Stormy a few times . We don't tend to actually drink much alcohol in our household but we increased our average this week.
The ginger beer and rum thing seemed very helpful to both of them.

I got my hair cut in the style of a scifi heroine.
Before is above and after below.
The blue is darker, this is the one I intended last time when they sent me the wrong color.

We had a little snow.
I had a moment on the ice (right by the kids school) that scared me but everything worked out fine.

On Friday Megan was off school (half-day Pre-K plus a 2 hour delay). So we went to the mall.

We rode the merry-go-round and ate at the food court and got some bath bombs.

When we got home we got to watch daddy doing a major amp upgrade with lots of new tubes.

I got my car sideways on the way out and didn't make it to work.

On Saturday we stayed in and cleaned and played and dyed Megan's hair.
I've gotten some flack about this on Facebook so I want to defend the action here.
She asked for this a few weeks ago and has continued to ask for it ever since.
Other kids in her school have colorful hair.
I use very gentle, vegan, non-harmful dyes.
If you cant be goofy with your hair as a kid then when on earth can you.
She is doing the normal mommy modeling.
She thinks she is a purple princess.

On Sunday thanks to the kindness of Scearce's and cooperation of David I got to go to a new restaurant and an art museum.
One of my New Years resolutions is to go on more dates.
This will get a lot easier when mom retires.
The other problem is though that plans can just be shuffled backwards in farvor of other things too easily.
So we have a spreadsheet. I was afraid this would be too unromantic or pushy but David like the idea well enough.
We went to the Walters to see an exhibit of medieval art. It was amazing.
We ate at SoBo which was pretty good.
The parking in Baltimore sucks. It was bitterly cold.
The time flew by and had us scrambling to get back home in time.
I hope we do everything on the spreadsheet.

When we got home Megan was asleep. When she got up she was crying and clutching her ear.
She had the sort of sinus headache that tries to eat your eyes.
That poor girl.
She got meds and lay crying on daddy and I felt helpless and anxious.
I took Kiernan (bouncing for attention) into the living room to finally tackle the toy bins.

I made good progress and talked to Kiernan and by the time Megan was OK again The toys were in much better order.
