Christmas cookie night 2017
Last year this week we made Christmas cookies.
This week I made Cuban food to eat before making Christmas cookies. Good plan.
In Japan there was the learning of the uni-cycling.
David got a sun lamp for Kiernan but we are all soaking up its rays in response to the gray cold wet year.
Megan and mom decorated the dollhouse.
I got a beautiful missive on the tree at Haven.
I was feeling so down and the kindness of that note was a balm.
I went in to work on laser cut Christmas presents when I found it. I couldn't use the laser that night but talked to a woman named Heather who was making these bowls. I loved them an told her so. She gave me the files so you are looking at my next project after Christmas.
Megan at work got a dead battery which we failed to jump.
Super dead.
Here we are cables attached poking the internet for answers.
Megan got an elf on a shelf and despite my initial resistance I am enjoying putting it in weird places. Here she is riding the armadillo.
D&D is back. We managed to not die despite our harrowing adventure.
Huzzah!
I got in a big cooking mood this weekend. I roasted veggies.
The roasted veggies were so good on Thanksgiving that we've just been roasting them pretty much continuously as they come into the house.
I fried peppers and onions to go with some veggie sausages.
I boiled more veggies in a soup. This is Davids parents not-Borscht.
It is spicy and warm and served with sour cream.
Megan had a birthday party and a play-date on Saturday. She is a social beast.
She was pretty darned tired after and turned into a crab.
I ate healthy and snuggled my kids and didn't go into work for the first weekend in a bit.
We went Christmas Tree hunting.
We watched YouTube on the floor with the dog.
Found it!
Megan wants you to know that she is taller than the tree...
This is not true.
I hid the elf some more.
See photo below for elf on sword.
The kids got some serious hair dye on.
Kiernan blue and Megan evergreen.
David surprised and thrilled me by agreeing to partner me in a Victorian dance class.
He is the most fun, kind and patient person I know.
