So October is Inktober month and there will be a ton of images here.
We rented a truck and picked Licia's treadmill from Screace's and then the next week put it back together its starting to get dark early and all that great free time for running is evaporating.
My 3D printing class is going pretty well.
I finally tackled the biggest house project that I have been avoiding.
The garage had degraded into a chaotic horrible mess.
A dumb amount of hours later I rediscovered my floor.
I got bins and shelving and have scheduled another day to go through things.
Things are much better though.
Ug what a mess.
It was hanging over me and I'm relived to have at least given it a good start.
I took the opportunity to start my prepper pantry. Somewhere between being raised in the doomsday religion that is Adventism and the general state of political unrest in the country right now my inner prepper is alive ad well.
We decided to treat election day like a new lock down just incase people got crazy.
This will be helpful for storage space as well. I have 4 large rice containers each a different type. Ha!
We cut way down on Megans slime collection too. Oh gracious that girls has a ton of slime. Why do you need so much slime!?!
We started the Halloween prep that the kids and I enjoy so much.
I drew lots of Inktober things. Its so soothing and meditative.
Megan chose her costume early.
I took part in a 3D printing conference and had a promo type of video interview at the Haven for it. the conference was called VERRF2020
these are the towers I brought for the demo.
The garden is almost done. The spicy nasturtiums are still going though.
Here is Davids fish and wisp
We watched a rocket launch count down at Wallops then ran up the hill to see the rocket for ourselves. It was very clear and beautiful.
We halloween'd the door.
We got more bramley apples for crisps
We had a visit from Aunt Lore
We ate crisp
I finally tried Martha Stewards one pot pasta. Its soo good.
My bulky on top and Davids below.
3D printing a baroque recorder for my class project.
My radio above and Davids below
Megan's looks like it might be a record player.
That recorder looks great and can play but needs some filing.
The leaves are changing.
A leaf ug thought I was a tree.
Here's a look at my current took set that i use to clean up the 3D prints.
here are rolls of plastic filament that I use to print.
Here is a bracket that david designed and printed for the wall above my computer.
We use it to move the camera up for Kung Fu and anything we need a whole room view for.
here is a lense cover for my web cam, also printed.
Here is Grandpa Rumford going hunting for his Birthday.
David fixed a problem we had with the house since the day we moved it.
This door was so hard to open.
I feel like he would make a good burglar. He just walked over to the door and picked it up of its track.
here is my longest run so far. I have signed up for a virtual turkey trot this year and feel like 5K will be fine.
More instruments for my class project.
My 3D printing teacher gave each of us this monstrosity to clean up. His point was that much of 3D printing is difficult clean up. This however is just a stupid amount of clean up.
4 hours later...
I am particularly proud of the wires on the back of the head there. A lot of people lost those.
Due in no small part to the skateboarding cranberry Dreams thing
I am playing lots of World of Warcraft now. Its good for family bonding and for stress and for the new content recently released.
Kathryn and Yoshi and Erena are taking Karate. Kathryn's Kung Fu background is serving her well.
Megan's teeth are getting fixed with a top expander now. We adjust it every day and it doesn't hurt anymore. She looks like a little shark.
I got my flu shot.
I love the leaves this year.
We did a Haven Halloween day.
We went to a corn maze and pumpkin patch.
We lost the kids in the maze and I came out worried and they were already done.
Ha!
There was giant Jenga and an apple cannon.
It was fun and concerning with all those people.
But we were outside and masked and got pumpkins and the kids (especially Megan) really enjoyed being out doing normal things.
Then some of us went over to Haven to carve the pumpkins and watch Adams family in their outdoor screen.
Here is Megan's pumpkin
I made many pumpkin things.
Megan decorated the whole house with special care for her room
The weather turned.
I worked on my Belgian waffles.
Megan developed a gap from all the expansion.
The yard became a glory.
We found part three of a series we used to watch before the kids were born. Its about 2 guys (Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor) motorcycling around the world. It is a wonderful series. The first one is Long Way Round from London to New York through Europe and Russia, the next is Long Way Down from Scotland to the tip of South Africa and this one that just started
(Long Way Up) starts in Argentina and goes up to LA. This time they use electric bikes.
Here is my pawn design now. I'm doing plants vs bugs for a garden themed chess set for my class.
Its pretty good so far. I'm using my favorite wooden chess set for the scale.
Megan had her birthday and made out like a bandit.
Thank you to everyone who sent
We made some very nice sheet nachos.
We started a little family only D7D game.
Halloween came at last.
I made a scary spooky disgusting Halloween feast.
We went to Licias house for a single trick or treat then back home.
We ate our disgusting feast (Megan said she couldn't look at it).
The heart is a roasted pepper stuffed with goat cheese, the ribs are breadsticks, the kidneys are hassleback potatoes, the intestines are cinnamon rolls.
The kids made graveyard cake.
We bobbed for apples and I hid glowsticks in the backyard for a Halloween Easter egg hunt style thing. We trick or treated from door to door in the house we watched Halloween movies. We had a costume contest. We called Opa for his birthday.
It was a good and busy night.
