Today Kiernan is off at Scearce's.
He is now going there twice a week. He plays in the creek and climbs the tractor and enjoys the excellent of his grandma and grandpa Scearce.
For me it is a big relief that he enjoys his time there so much, other than a new found propensity for carsickness on the way over. I have been feeling this sense of regret as we have gone through the process of weaning and general toddler Independence. The new move to have him stay away from home more is a hard pill to swallow. Kiernan was supposed to only stay home for the first year but between my desire to be near him and his desire to be near only mommy we got to extend his home stay. This was great for us but a burden on everyone else. It was especially hard on Licia who has been giving her mom a ride on many mornings. So sometime between now and the fall we will increase his days away from home from 1 (as it has been until last week) to 3 days a week. Once he turns two we will try the daycare down the street.
On the bright side he seems totally fine so there is a great deal of hope. Also he is confident bold and contented so I am trying to not to let him pick up on my meh feelings.
Also we just got some ukulele's and we are learning to play them which is just plain old fun and this weekend I am entering a pie in a pie baking contest. So we are all moving to do our own stuff lol.

Aww, that must be hard, but i'm sure it's good for him! I know I will have the same problem haha. What kind of pie did you make for the contest?! How fun!
That sweet little baby is surrounded by people who love him. He is such a sweet, happy little guy.
Good luck in the pie contest! How cool, Missy Lou!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for your pie! :)
