Jimmie Cone is a local and wonderfully old fashioned seasonal Ice Cream stand. I have been going there for a long time. It was such a pleasure to do something generational with Kiernan. I am not from Maryland I am from Kansas and I don't think of myself as a Marylander even though I have lived here most of my life. So this was something I hadn't really considered being possible. The having place based traditions idea is just taking hold.
We are having horrible gnat swarms this summer. We are doing much less outdoor stuff than I was hoping for. Thank God for the pool and the way Kiernan loves it. Here is a brief trip to the sand box before our retreat.
After valiantly and consistently pitching eggs at Kiernan he has "discovered" them. He has been asking for them and stealing daddy's whenever possible. lol

I wish he were old enough for fireworks, he would love them. His bed time is right around 7. It has to be early because he has to get up in the 5's but he would so love the fireworks. #firstworldproblems
I don't talk about it much here but I am in school right now. I am fighting the summer time mood. I will not take classes for quite a while after the baby but right now ug summer.
