I hit week 20 and am now feeling Meg kick. David is prepping his motorcycle for sale and summer is in full swing. We love the pool almost as much as Kiernan does and we have been watching some Veggie Tales on Amazon streaming.
The coolest thing happened today.
We were in the basement, going in and out of he door "helping" daddy work on his motorcycle.
At one point we "helped" too much and David asked me to take Kiernan in. I was looking around for some distracting thing and decided that today would be a good day to introduce Kiernan to Fantasia.
Oh man was that a success.
Not even the parts you would think...
He was enraptured by the conductor, by the instruments, by the music itself. Toccata and Fugue in D Minor drove him into literal ecstasies. He was shaking and laughing and trying to conduct and telling me all about the music.
Now Bach is my favorite and I love Fantasia so obviously I was very pleased but seeing him so moved by such a beautiful powerful thing as music (and not the kids songs he always asks for but complicated powerful music) put me on the verge of tears.
I am so happy and so proud of his reaction.
