Happy 3rd Birthday to Kiernan!

For his birthday this year Kiernan wanted a train cake. I am happy to report that Nana got us a train cake mold and that the cake was much better looking than it otherwise would have been. We made tons of colorful frosting.

We had some baloons left over from a babyshower that Davids work threw for us so Kiernan was already in full baloon mode plus for the party Nana brought some of the more floaty variety.

 Kiernan got a copious amount of gifts, all of which he liked. This was something of a relief. It is really oddly tense hoping he will be gracious to those who have been so thoughtful towards him. He is only 3 so manners are not exactly his top priority but it means so much to everyone that I find myself anxiously anticipating each new present and its reception, hoping for enthusiasm for him and from him. Success!

Kiernan and Megan are getting on like a house on fire. She looks for him in the morning and burbles at him happily. He wants to hold her and give her special toys. They seem very happy to sit near each other and the animal sounds they make back and forth elicit beautiful giggles from both.
