Nursing and Star Wars and house hunting

Here are my sweet kids with a glimpse of me added too for a change. Megan is talking up a storm. I have entered Kiernan into a Lottery for a Montessori school. If  he gets in we will need to be in Frederick by the summer. We have begun house hunting therefore.

This one was pretty cool it even had a pool.

I have begun Megan's Jedi training. She is taking to it rather nicely.

We started a monthly game night. This is something I have wanted to try for quite sometime but shyness and lack of games (not to mention know how) have prevented me for doing. This year is a year to try new things and to be brave.

We have all had the flu and on one of our recovery days we went to the library discovery room. This is the best invention for cold winter days and giggly squirmy mischief makers.

I did another thing that I have avoided due to trepidation. I was a rules judge in the Maryland Science Bowl. Lots of really brilliant high school kids doing competitive science.

Megan is now weened. This was a really easy thing for her as she has not nursed since she was 9 months old or so. Every day I pumped and every milk she had was bottled. This was so deeply not what I wanted for either of us. I was hoping to keep going until she was 17 months as that is when Kiernan stopped. If we had ever gotten into a good rhythm but I went back to work just as we were getting it right and she got too used to bottles.
So this weening is easy for her and hard for me and filled with regret. I am still in the painful bit and the melancholy will I suspect lift once its all over.
