Here we have a basket case in a basket with a basket on his head.
On Friday Megan got the drainage wick removed in the afternoon so in the morning I was determined to give her a good time. She couldn't go out into the sun because of the antibiotics so we went to the mall and the kids jumped in the bouncy castles.
They had a ball! As you can see Megan was moving very freely and having a great time indeed. Kiernan was so helpful with her all day. She adores her big brother and he did a lot to deserve that adoration on Friday. He showed her how to bounce and play in the inflatable car he gave her snacks and even tried to feed her in her high chair.
"here comes the airplane"
She was in heaven and he was very proud of himself.
At church we are (as one might expect) talking about the last super and the crucifixion and the last supper and the resurrection. One of the teachers has a crown of thorns that she got in Jerusalem and she brought it in to show the kids.
Kiernan said "Mom that looks like it hurts." I agreed that it probably hurt very much. He looked very thoughtful and announced, "You be Jesus, I'll be the guards."
hahahah
That is a very smart 4 year old.
We went to lunch after church just the two of us. He loves Noodle Company and while we were out Megan slept (she has been sleeping quite a bit unsurprisingly) and David had some grown-up time.
Very encouragingly during her bath Megan submerged her arm and shoulder without any complaint. The swelling is way down and her movement seems good. Best of all she seems happy and relaxed and no longer in pain. Now all we need is for the antibiotic course to be over. Her next follow-up appointment is on Tuesday.
On Sunday morning we stayed in for another quiet day.
Megan and I watched Sesame Street while Kiernan built things.
There were no lessons this weekend because of spring break.
Sunday night we did a marathon of signing. Mostly lending papers but weirdly a few pages of disclosure due to the patriot act. I don't feel like a family blog is the place to get political (for that have a look at my tumblr) but I have to say that I object deeply to the nose the government sticks into my daily and private affairs. Deeply.
Monday morning dawned with beautiful snow.
