The kids had a much needed (for busy mommy) trip to Burger King. This was not new for any of them. There are Burger Kings in Japan and Erena goes to them. I have mentioned here before but it bears re-mentioning...Burger King makes great veggie burgers.
We did a good bit of train riding this weekend. It is possible that Erena likes trains even more than Kiernan dose. At the minimum she is much louder about her desire to pursue them. We went to Lakeforest mall on Friday for various kids activities.
Train riding featured prominently.
Activity two was diving off mall mushrooms to practice the important rolling dive for Kiernan. You can see Erena crawling hastily across the padded walkway in the background and Megan trying to climb up onto the frog tongue as well.
Kathryn and Erena spent a hard night over at Scearce's place to be with Grandpa Scearce after his cataract surgery. The procedure went well. The night was interrupted and not quite as restful as it would have been at our baby friendly house but the family bonding was un-match-able.
We went down to pick them up Saturday morning and made a stop at Uncle Chris and Aunt Pammy's. Ostensibly this stop was to pick up a steamer for removing wall paper but it became, almost immediately, all about the pool.
We then stole away Aunt Pammy for some playground/train/merry-go-round action.
Aunt Pammy, despite fears of getting dizzy joined us on the rides and the ratio of one adult per child made a huge difference in the kids good time.
Thank you Aunt Pammy!
The train was so crowded that we couldn't get seats together. I sat with Kiernan and had a blast except for fretting about how Megan was doing with out me.
HA!
Apparently things went just fine.
We stopped off for a summer hair cut for Kiernan and a bang trim for Erena. Then it was noodles for all and home late to sleep.
Sunday was recovery/pool/playgrounds all over again.
Whew!
