My girl is 3 years old.
She can wear a Queen Elsa braid.
She prefers onion rings to french fries and vanilla shakes to chocolate, but she is happy to have any of them.
She is obstinate and opinionated and obstreperous. She is hilarious and so sweet.
On Friday we went to Pennsylvania to pick up a fire basket from a craigslist poster.
A lovely thing a bout Megan is that while I cleaned up the new fire area she played in the yard with no Kiernan like call for attention. She is easier in some ways. She even took a nap.
On Friday I went to work on time and missed soccer practice.
On Saturday morning though I saw the game. This was the 2nd to last game of the season. Kiernan still loves it. He is terrible at the games. He is completely un-aggressive. He is very good at the drills and he loves it so I mostly don't mind his lack of scoring but a small part of me wishes he would go for a goal. I want him to experience that victory feeling.
I am however very pleased with his play. There is time to discover aggression and competitiveness. He is such a good sport. He cheers for his team and follows instructions and jokes around and is happy.
While he prepped the house for Megan's party the kids played around in the leaves.
Afterword we went to the mall for a trick-or-treat trail.
The kids had fun and got only a little candy.
Once home again the final project for the day presented itself.
Behold the Dodocase version of google cardboard. please follow the links
After the kids went to bed we got down to the serious business of getting ready for Megan's birthday party.
David wrapped things and I worked on balloon stuff.
I am getting better at balloon animals but had a bit of a travesty with a 2 headed dog.
The next day we partied.
Then we had a fire.
It was lovely.
Special thanks to Nana for the great princess cakes!
