Snow!

We got some snow this week. Megan and Pax were so excited they couldn't even wait untill after breakfast to go check it out.

I cleared a small path on the deck so they could run a little.

Kiernan got his snow day and set about immediately trying to top his video game high scores. That there is David's son! None of this crazy out of door business for him.

After work I got busy and cleared the driveway.
Usually David is the one who gets the short end of the stick driveway wise, but this was his last day of work before starting his new job and I wanted to give him a bit of a break. Plus it was a not very heavy snow.

Megan wants to be with Pax everywhere now. She wants Pax to cuddle with her. Sometimes that means she is crawling on top of what ever Pax is laying on and sometimes that means she is calling Pax into her bed.
We went to my dads place this weekend and watching the not-so-long-ago- afraid of dogs Megan push her way through a crowed of hounds did my heart such good.

Kiernan dose not want to cuddle with Pax particularly. I am very pleased to say that he is still quite willing to cuddle with me though.
He is more like me and more like David in his quietness and his uncertainty.
I was so worried about how things would go for him in school but he is (due in no small part to his excellent teacher Mrs. Deane) thriving there.

On Davids first day at his new job I got drop off duty. Kiernan and I had a grand old time yakking away about this and that and Kiernan told me that he wants to try taking the bus in the morning. He had mentioned that before. He likes riding the bus home and he likes the independence. So starting Tuesday he will be a bus rider all the time.

It was 6 degrees when I took this picture. I can't help but think that this is not the perfect time of year to start standing outside and waiting for the bus.
burrr.

Megan and Pax fought over Queen Elsa and then once Pax went down for her nap, I took Megan to the local ice skating pond.

It was, not surprisingly, frozen solid.

She checked it out from top to bottom and now we are thinking of getting some ice skates for her at the used sporting goods store in Frederick.  We retreated from the cold after about 20 minutes.

We went to Paradise Fun.

A thing I adore about Megan is her tendency to really throw herself into everything she dose.

I know the pictures didn't turn out. They all look like net with girl shape behind but look at her body. She flung herself hither and yon for a solid half hour like this. She is amazing!

Pax still wants to be a lap puppy. This is increasingly awkward.
Look at that elegant creature eating her own foot.
Ha!

The kids and David cleared the driveway the rest of the way on Sunday while I virtuously went to work to make up some missed hours.

One last thing.

Behold Megan telling Pax to lay. They behold an obedient puppy.
