and Spills
At the beginning of the week we got the final prep for our visitors from Japan.
The Craigslist small bed saga was weird and long but resulted in this lovely option for Erena's nighttime slumbers.
We got a little snow and a great deal of cold and we worried that the big storm that was supposed to flatten New York was going to cause flight problems.
We spent some slippery hours having bubble fights (thank you Aunt Judy!) and staying warm as snow fell through the day and through the night.
The next morning after much shoveling and some more salting and a little helpful puppy play I set off to pick up Kathryn and Erena.
So far we have been able to present them with some postcard worthy winter wonderland stuff. We even managed to take advantage of moms gym daycare and pool.
We went to the skating pond again but there was too much snow on the ice for any real skating.
We made and destroyed quite a few snow men with help from Aunt Licia and Aunt Carolyn.
I was a little worried about how Megan and Erena would take to each other. They are both the princess of their own castles. Kathryn thought it would be fine because really they just want to monopolize their mothers and as long as that happens they are fine.
They seem to be really enjoying each others company and have the splashy-est bath time and the most musical Frozen singing time and the frilliest dress-up play. There is very little conflict.
We did a little tobogganing
Right into a snowman!
hahaha
Mom and Megan both have the flu now. I had to stay home from work which was bad for work but good for letting mom rest and holding Meg's and hanging out with Kathryn and Erena.
Last night was the Super Bowl.
The Patriots who we like beat the Seahawks who we like more.
Kiernan started fading very early (check out his futbol jersey lol) in the game and by half time he was laying on the floor looking unwell.
Today he is home from school.
