The tie-dye finished up.The colors are a bit duller after washing out but they still look cool.
The kids are in their swimming classes and doing very well.
David is helping Kiernan to learn to ride a bike without training wheels. Megan is working on her balance bike gliding.
Red cherry tomatoes are now available for the grabbing.
Kiernan got a football in the eye.
We have some meet ups for lunch.
We have some meet ups for frozen custard.
It is going very well summer-wise.
We are getting ready for our Disney World trip.
Dad went in to MedStar Washington Hospital Center to get a catheterization to evaluate the severity of his mirtal valve tear. Apparently it was bad enough that instead of scheduling his repair/replacement surgery they decided to keep him. We had all hoped that they would forestall his operation until after Disney. On the other hand I am happy that they decided to repair it sooner than later.
I have been having all sorts of dad heart related anxiety for weeks.
He went into the surgery in good spirits.
Over the course of the next few days I passed email and text updates from Mary and Aunt Becky and even a few from dad himself.
They were able to repair rather than replace the valve. Yesterday he got his chest drainage tubes and his neck IV out.
On Saturday as dad lay recovering we took the kids to Sandy Point.
They had an amazing time. Kiernan's confidence from the swimming classes really showed. Megan is still not confident in the water and mostly wanted to be held.
Both kids begged to stay and that has never happened before.
In the end Megan feel asleep in the parking lot before we ever got to the highway.
Look at that sweet smile.
In news from Japan: Erena at the Insect festival (firefly)!
I am told from a reliable source that she got a butterfly.
On Sunday we went to the dog park where Megan and Pax made friends with slightly smaller counterparts.
Kiernan got stung on his foot and we went home
When we went home and I did some gardening then got distracted by all the bee's.
Kiernan and David decided to stay in doors and work out.
hahaha look at Kiernan's planks with his butt in the air.
Hilarious.
David did some millions of push-ups and Megan and I sat on the couch like civilized human beings.
Dad may be able to go home tomorrow with his fancy new scar.
I have a whole long list of things that I want to cook for him and music to play for him in his recovery.
Mom got her magic band!
I am very interested in MagicBands. Please have a look at this article to see why.
