In the not too strange... maybe not strange at all I have been playing a great deal of PokemonGo!
As of last week I had worked the Eevee seen above resting on Goeffs are to the Pyro below.
I went to a happy hour. This is the first group for whom I will do post work socializing and for the most part I am enjoying it.
Poor Grandma Mary had the worst week of all of us.
She went to Kauai with my dad to scope out housing and jobs and to have a nice vacation..
Shortly after they arrived she got honest to goodness amnesia.
She had about 3 hours of hardcore finding Dory like memory loss and is still recovering from some of it low these many days later.
Luckily my Aunt Sandi (medically accomplished and already in place) was quick to hand and has been helping to over see her care.
The thing she got was called Transient Global Amnesia and Kauai is the capitol of the world for it according to he Doctors.
They did a couple of MRI's and decided it was not a stroke so she was discharged with some baby aspirin and stern instruction to not over work and to workout more.
If you see her make sure she is either not working to hard or working out. I want no more scares of this nature!
This week the kids started Gymnastics or Parkour.
It was really cool and has inspired all of us to try new things on the trampoline.
Megan has taken to walking around with her hands on her hips from this set of instructions.
ha!
The other medical thing we did was take Kiernan in for a blood test at the pediatricians.
He is still having stomach issues.
He is still throwing up way too often and now he is super acid and gassy way more than is healthy.
This time he had a Celiac test and a metabolic panel and a check for gut inflammation.
He did so well.
The Dr. told the nurse that Kiernan was a 'little nervous'.
Kiernan said "No I'm not."
The Dr. Said "Never mind Kiernan is going to be a brave boy."
Kiernan said "No I'm not! I just meant I wasn't a little nervous."
The Dr and nurse laughed and agreed that he was probably just regular nervous.
When the needle came out he didn't flinch he didn't move he sat calmly through the draw.
He was very good.
He made his 'AAA I am going to die' face, like so, for about an hour afterward then started showing off his shiny band-aid.
I hope we can find out whats going on.
I'll keep you posted.
On Friday we went this week to Scearce's and were blown away by the garden. I have never seen it look so good. We got peppers and tomatoes and basil and mint.
Not looking so good, was this tree that decided to fall on the back of the house.
It doesn't look to have done a ton of damage as it hit the chimney and rolled before impacting the roof proper.
We made a plan to come back on the weekend to help out with the clean up.
We were worried about rain and about what the insurgence appraiser would make of the condition of the house and of the roof.
I have been craving capelini pomodoro from Agro Dolce like crazy for about a month now and have been trying to find a good window with babysitter and time and energy to get to it.
Suddenly this weekend I realized that Megs would make an excellent lunch date if she could keep her act together so I invited her out to a fancy bistro and we had a girls lunch complete with owl and tapanade.
She was very good.
So was the food.
I think we will do it again.
I think we will do it again.
It was very hot.
The next day we went back to Scearce's and ate less fancy food.
David made hush puppies and I made fried green tomatoes and the garden provided delicious summer tomatoes for sandwiches and it was delicious.
We also worked on the rook.
Did i mention it was really hot?
We got all the moss and lichen and broken wood and small limbs off.
It looks great up there now.
We even got a tarp up there in case of rain.
We had a nice cool Jimmie Cone treat.
We got in the pool on the deck.
Next project:The Deck.
Someone wanted promotional picture of our group and I was the only one with a handy phone so now you can see the glory of Service Core.
Behold my work group.
In other work news I got a title change .
I am now a Senior Scientific Associate. It all sounds very spiffy but dose noting to ease the blisters all over my hands from the roof clearing.
