The blue took. I am not entirely convinced.
It has pretty great highlights though some aqua and some indigo and some purple. I'm just not sure about it on me.
We made a gingerbread house.
This is a great way to get rid of old Halloween candy.
I got a sinus headache and stayed home from work for a day.
I got back to work and discovered that the Christmas spirit had hit.
Kiernan has been very into his Space Science school work.
He is recording moon phases even on nights when this level of coverage (clothing) equals way way under-dressed.
On Thursday we (at work) went for a pizza pretzel lunch and finished it with death cupcakes!
please click the links for those.
Megan was invited to our Christmas sock party on Friday. She was great. We swapped crazy socks and ate pizza and she loved it all.
She told the people at work she was ready to be an employee but she didn't know any karate yet. . .
ha!
On Saturday I went to work.
The kids came to get me at lunch.
We had noodles and saw Santa and Mrs. Claus.
It snowed a tiny bit on Sunday morning.
StarLilly was impressed.
The kids tried to sled in it.
They got a little bit of scoot going.
On Sunday it was back to work.
My co-workers are so fun.
I hate being at work so much.
I am so grateful to hate it with such fantastic company.
I keep doing it out of busyness (somewhat) and a worry about not pulling my own weight (more) and out of a feeling that it is unfair for me to stay home when others are having to come in (mostly).
We went to Sushi and Wegmans for lunch.
The kids picked Christmas themed snacks and David and I ate some serious cheese.
Megan wanted her hair to be colorful too.
We went with pink/purple.
She was quite pleased with it.
She swung like a monkey on the towel rack in the downstairs bathroom and sheered it from the wall.
I took a few minutes at the telescope myself and agreed with Kiernan that it is amazing.
Megan came downstairs Monday night gasping for air and making horrifying sounds.
She had been congested forever but this was different.
We rushed her to the ER.
They thought it was different too.
Sinusitis and Croup.
It was a long long night.
We got home at 430 Tuesday morning.
By Tuesday afternoon she had taken 2 doses of Steroids and antibiotics and was breathing much more normally.
She decided to help things along with a band-aid.
Crazy girl.
By Thursday things were back to normal.
My friend Michelle came over for a night of bouncy kids and Christmas cooking making.
Mom prepared 3 types of dough and the kids and Michelle cut and decorated.
Some turned out better than others.
Frosting fixes all things.
Megan was still getting tired easily and was off to bed as soon as we could manage.
Kiernan on the other hand took as much as we would give him of time and attention.
He was still at it the next morning. He QC'ed the cookies and divided them up accordingly.
Megan recovered some more.
I was in charge of Toys for Tots at the Frederick office this year and it was a really good one.
We made a few trips to 5below and that seemed to fill things out so well that we had to get an extra box.
Over all its been a roller coaster of a few weeks.
It is my last week of class so I still have a Cellular and Molecular Biology Exam in front of me but I think other than that all the hard stuff should be past for the time being.
I am tired.
Megan cried tonight when I left for work tonight.
I am spending too much time at work. I am only seeing the kids a few hours a day and none of us is liking it very much.
It will be good with the year end actually ends.
