Why is it so cold?

It looks like spring. It is green.
More turtles are hatching.
Monopoly games are ending.

This little guy was dehydrated and barely responsive when I got him off a storm drain on a work walk. Once I got him into the pond he perked right up though.

So far we have won a ton of salt and bagels and doughnuts. This year our big haul has been a 25$ gift card. There are still a few weeks left so there is still a chance for the million dollars.

This week I got a new desk in the form of grandma Marys old desk. So Kiernan got a new desk in the form of my old desk and Megan got a new crafting table from her brother.
Desks all round.
Its just in time really as I have been channeling my extra energy into cleaning and reorganizing.

Despite the cold the root garden at least is looking good.
I foresee potatoes and onions for all in not so very long.
Mad props to my aunt Jan for encouraging the potato garden.

At work we have been putting casters on benches until we can do it in our sleep.

At home its tomatoes and fixit jobs.

David did a huge amount of fixit this week.
He set up my new desk for a start. He changed spark plugs in his car. He fixed my chainsaw. He put my moms new dresser together. He replaced the trampoline top for the kids. He put up a peg board for his tools. He did some major plumbery.

At work we celebrated Star Wars day (May the 4th) by wearing our best Star Wars shirts and force lifting the photographer.

The woods look good. The woods are wet and cold.

We had a day without water in deference to Davids brave dismantling of the leaky well pump.
We now have a dry floor and improved water all round.
Three cheers to David.

Kiernan had a play date and a haircut before being felled by stomach ailments. These ailments resulted in missing the end of year Wolf Den party and also in a fair amount of barfing.
Poor guy.

If it ever gets warm again I will go out and enjoy my beautiful gardens.

I love Kiernan's hair on the long side, same as you, but his new haircut is really great! He is such a handsome boy!
