Moving and trucks and unpacking

First the kids helped out at Home Depot

They checked out flooring

They inspected the carpets

Then Kiernan went with me to borrow the pick-up from Scearce's and  yard tools from my Dads place. Driving all thess trucks is a little painful just now. Normally I love driving trucks and I got to drive both the pick up and the moving van this weekend but I have 2 new abscess like the one that was on my leg now. One on my lower back and one on my upper leg.  Ug Go away skin stuff!

While we did that David changed all the locks and fixed up some stuff before the kids moved in.

Then we dropped off the first load. This was everything from our decks. We took bikes and the swing and lots of planters and the kids picnic table. Then we tested out the picnic table with some tacos.

Then there was manful packing and loading of all the kids bedroom stuff and most of ours. Plus essential kitchen and bathroom stuff.

And the cavalry arrived in the form of an amazingly spacious Outback and in the persons of the amazingly helpful Uncle Chris and Aunt Pammy. Look how much they love me taking their picture.

Security Check.

Kiernan's new room set up, looking pretty habitable.

In addition to heavy lifting Uncle Chris and aunt Pammy also provided a much needed Burger King trip for the Kids. It was both usefully distracting and timely for all us hungry veggie burger eaters.
I have to say that their veggie burgers are 2nd only to Red Robins and cost 3 bucks as opposed to 8. Yum

Yay Nana for knowing where everything is already! She guided and packed and schlepped along with  the best of us.

A final trip in the evening to drop off the truck and pick up Dorothy and kitchen knives and clothes for work was covered by mom who fed and bathed the kids while we ran off.
For the time being my mom will stay at the old place to pack and occupy it until we are no longer paying rent. She is now driving up to her job watching the kids and going back every day.
Thank you Scearce's for the truck, Dad for the garden tools and to Mom and Chris and Pammy  for the moving and Child herding help and especially thank you to David for being amazing.
