Pirates Booty girl and the Zombie boy

Uncle Chris introduced the kids to Pirate Booty some time ago and it has become one of their favorite snacks. Here is Megan taking time out from her busy Pirate Booty schedule for some camera flirtation.

That distant black dot (click picture to embiggen) in the cemetery is my little goth boy. Kiernan has been asking lots of questions about death lately, some related to plants vs zombies and some not. He has been asking to see a cemetery and so on Friday we went to one.
He was like a little butterfly, flitting amongst the gravestones.
hahahahaha

Speaking of flitting like a butterfly. Check out fairy princess Megan.
This getup is in heavy rotation just now.

On Saturday morning we went for a picnic at the lake with Uncle Chris and Aunt Pammy. There was swimming, sand-castling, the eating of artfully prepared breakfasts plus the implementation of project sticker the kids with the newly discarded car decals.

Nice new car Uncle Chris.

On Sunday Nana and I went to Baltimore to pick up a 30$ craigslist slide.

After battling our way thorough the city (the non-toll road way) we arrived successfully home in time for yard work, a cookout and some serious deck modification.

Kiernan paced helpfully below as David removed a bench and fixed the gate.

I took pity on the kids and bungied the slide to the picnic table.
They quite enjoyed that. First it was a sliding board and then it was a racing anything with wheels down it board.

Our cucumbers are finally starting and some of the tomatoes have been changing colors rather nicely.

Last week I went for a dental cleaning. This week I will go in to get some fillings.
Blarg.
Now my impacted wisdom teeth are acting up. It seems like every time I get anything done at the dentist the jostling of my jaw causes my wisdom teeth to misbehave. So tomorrow, when I go in, I will see about having them all removed...
ADVENTURE!
