House of plague with a little footie

Megan got a hair cut this week. She was very princess as you might expect.

It looked good and it is shorter so hopefully less tangle prone.

On Friday morning Megan seemed low energy and stuffy. Megan low energy, looks like this, instead of the big blur she usually is. I wasn't feeling so great myself. So, after we dropped Kiernan (he recovered from his illness and mostly just fought congestion most of the week) off we went home and watched videos and didn't move much.

We had veggie chicken broth and took Motrin for our fevers.

Megan was so congested that she could only sleep proped up. Mostly she wanted to do this on me.
We spent nearly 24 hours on the couch with her sleeping on me. Starting Thursday night and on into late Friday we took it easy and she cried and we medicated. She threw up and choked on mucus and I cursed the fact that she is too young for decongestant. We used baby Vicks and a vaporizer and fever reducer and cough drops. I hate seeing her in pain. I hate not being able to do anything about it.
Sometime near 5 she perked up and was between fever reducer's and decided to run around and play.
Luckily for her Kiernan had soccer practice.

Zooooommm!
She was up and down all weekend after that but it never got as bad as Friday.
Kiernan really enjoyed the game.
I never saw this smile on his face during t-ball.

It was chilly and drizzly and congenial.
There were cough drops.

Hopefully next week you will get to hear about how no one is sick and everything is dandy.

In other news a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grandpa Scearce, who graced us with his presence and chocolate cake on Sunday.
