Girl Scout Fundraiser Post

Megan's first Girl Scout fundraiser hit pretty quickly.
I like how Girl Scouts lets you do everything online. Its hard to like hawking things (I will hold an exception for the upcoming cookies). I don't see myself minding hawking Girl Scout cookies as I will probably be doing it with my mouth full of Thin Mints.
Be that as it may...
Here is the link to Megans online masgazine store  and here is the link to her chocolate and nut store and here is the code to enter in order to see Megan's online store: UUUDW9HF

We set it up yesterday before school and Megan was quite enjoying fixing up her avatar with a tiara and sparkly shoes...all good so far.
Then we got to the special message...
The girl who voices the special message sounds about 15 and like she might be a heavy whiskey drinker. She had quite a low and gravely voice to go with Megan's small blonde pixie pic. So we decided to go with the 'record your own message' option.
The message was pretty long and Megan can't read yet so on the first go round it sounded like:

Me (Sotto Voce): I love to be a Girl Scout.
Megan (normal loud voice): I love to be a Girl Scout.
Me (Sotto Voce): I get to do fun things like camping, rock climbing... bla bla bla
Megan (normal loud voice): I get to do fun things like camping, rock climbing... bla bla bla

When I played it back in ended up being rather long and a little disjointed to say the least. So I decided to re-download audacity (this is great free audio editing software) to take my voice out.
I haven't used it in a while and I needed plug ins and conversion libraries and all manner of things and it was time for school. I managed to get my voice almost entirely out of the message...except for one now creepy sounding subliminal message where in I mysteriously whisper "camping" out of nowhere.

If you want a laugh or if you want to see Megan's page or if you want to order nuts and or magazines go have a look at the page but please watch the special message. (< click that link!)
