A visit from Japan 2020 Part 2

So I'm a bit late to the party on this but Yay #teamtrees. I was watching a science video with the kids and we came across the team trees thing and I love it so much and sent them money and also ordered a hoodie. Please check it out at the link above. Basically its an arbor day foundation plus Youtube guys thing that raised 20 million dollars to plant 20 million trees thing.

On the trees and plants theme we went to Brookside. It was cold and bleak and we decided we needed some warmth and plant life and so before Kathryn left I took 2 days off and we did a little touring.

Brookside is just so beautiful. Kathryn and Mariam and I went without any kids (thanks to school and Licia) and it was particularly relaxing.

Look at these crazy fractal looking things.

They were having a citrus exhibit and everything was orange and smelled amazing.

Have a look at this place. What a relief it is to the sense.

We also went to a nice coffee place with Licia

We had a unicorn party with unicorn hot chocolate and bagels and pj's.

Of course there was also unicorn slime.

My crazy daffodils tried to tell me it was sprint then froze and fell over.

Then it was time for Kathryn and Erena to go home.

The girls were still getting on well and I felt like despite some snotty noses and a little normal friction this was the best time they have had together of all the visits.

Megan doesn't quite get how much bigger than her Erena is and sometimes that is hilarious.

The Corona Virus was making big news and we were a little worried that Japan would close to flights but everything went smoothly in the end.
